After making sure that Nissa was safe in her cradle Mitsuki quickly ran off to the front door to see who had arrived, as she arrived she took a quick look at all the people currently near and around the.. no her! doorway. She smiled as she saw Hyede and Akuma, while she didn't know them very well they both seemed quite nice, she knew Akuma to be a trustworthy guy as well.. he'd saved her life a while ago, speaking of said life saving Mitsuki's eyes landed on Brandon and the strange woman who seemed to be accompanying him, instantly her happy expression faltered. While Akuma had once saved her Brandon had been the very person trying to kill her, knowing this Mistuki was less than pleased with the idea of Brandon being near there house let alone in the same building as Nissa. "Hello everyone." Mistuki said as she forced herself back to sounding happy. "It's good to see you all." Mitsuki said and while she had said all here eyes were focused only on Akuma and Hyede as if she was trying to ignore the very existence of Brandon and the woman with him.

“Well it’s good to see you too.” Hyede replied aloud to Mitsuki and held up the cake he had brought. “I hope you don’t mind I brought a snack.” he added. Stepping inside, Hyede held the cake-baring box back at his side and looked around the entrance foyer.

"Thank you kindly for the gift, Hyede." Malachi nodded to his friend as he said this and ushered everyone into the den. "If you'll all wait here in the den for a moment, Mitsuki and I will finish preparing the food. Of course we'll add your cake to the list of deserts, Hyede." He nodded once again.
He then took a moment and stepped over to Brandon and the young woman he was with. "Brandon, you might have gotten lucky with her." Malachi speaks almost in a whisper in his guest's ear.
He then leans to her and whispers in her ear as well, "I hope you know what you're getting into. I apologize in advance. You may end up hating me. For that I'm sorry."
Malachi spoke softly enough so that neither of the two could hear what he'd said to the other. The fact that there was a small crowd likely conversing in the same room only improved Malachi's situation.
With that, Malachi gave a quaint bow to his guests and stepped off through a doorway on the opposite side of the den, heading deeper into the house and up a flight of stairs to the dining hall.

“Oh hey Malachi, wait up a second.” Hyede called after the other young man. Deciding it would be bad manners to leave in the middle of conversation but wanting to run after his friend, Hyede diced to both stay and go. Calling on his split form talent, he formed his clone. The original Hyede stepped away carrying the only thing that wasn’t copied, the box and quickly ran after Malachi while the clone remained to keep up appearances.

Malachi took note of Hyede following him and motioned through the doorway which way for him to follow. "Heh, It's a motley assortment of folks in there. Some I'd prefer to not be here, but it's supposed to be an 'open house' party so I'll humor them for a while. I pity that poor girl." Malachi said with a chuckle.
"I told you we needed to get together for a good time soon. So I took it upon myself, in my new house, to call up some friends and relax for a bit with a party."

Indeed and I’m glad you did. It’s good to spend time together when there isn’t a huge galactic emergency going on.” Hyede replied as he followed along. “Speaking of get-togethers, I should put together a Bar-B-Q on my boat some time.”

"Yeah, that would be nice. We need more things to break the monotony of fighting all the time. I mean I'm glad to find a challenge as much as the next warrior, but everybody needs a break every now and then." Malachi and Hyede would finally arrive in the dining hall. It was divided into two sections. The first was an open room with windows lining one side and a large rectangular table in the middle. Chairs on each end and each side of the table were neatly scooted in next to the table.
The other section was blocked off by a waist high counter and a short waist high door. In this area there were all manners of cooking appliances, a refrigerator, cooking utensils in various drawers, etc. Malachi moved into the cooking section with Hyede likely following. "Now, any ideas as to what we should cook up?"

“Yeah, it has been quite an unbreakable cycle of one emergency after another and when we aren’t fighting we’re training, running off on some quest or sparring. Speaking of which though we have yet to actually have a serious test of our abilities. But that can wait.” Hyede stated as they walked.
“Oh, forcing your guests into cooking for them selves, I see how it is.” Hyede chuckled and placed the cake box down on the serving counter. “I’m pretty good with breakfast foods, usually all I ever eat but I can try my hand at anything you want.”

Malachi chuckled. "Well, you aren't going to have to cook at all, my friend. I've gathered a few new talents of my own. Some of them aren't entirely combat related, either. I just need ideas of what to make. That's where you come in. I was hoping you could think of some good dishes. Leave the rest to me." Malachi winks to Hyede with another snicker as he says the last bit.

“Hehe!! Well I could whip up some omelets. I guess we’ll need something a little bit more substantial. I know some of these guys might want meat so steak might be in order. Ah, there we go, steak and eggs.” Hyede mused as he looked about the kitchen. “I’m sorry, it kind of center all of my meals around breakfast so it’s hard to shake that model.” he added and opened up the fridge to take survey of it’s contents.

Malachi smirked, "No worries. I've only been practicing this for about a year now, but I think I can make it work. Of course I planned to make some meat dishes myself, and Breakfast isn't a bad thing. Hhmmm....Boneless Angus steaks, omelets of various types, biscuits and rolls, baked ham, and a salad to go along. Then I'll need to get some drinks. Anyway, here we go!"
As Malachi finished his words he focused for a moment, arms and fingertips extended above the counter and towards the dining table. Moments later, all of the dishes that he had spoken of began appearing near the center of the table on large platters so that anyone could partake of them. A bowl for the salad, one platter of steaks, one platter of baked ham, three small platters of various kinds of omelets, and baskets of rolls and biscuits all along the table.
"Haha, Alright! How was that?"

Hyede closed the fridge and looked back to Malachi, bewildered as he was making it sound like they had the food he was describing. Hyede saw for himself that there was very little in the fridge, the house was new after all. He looked on a little wide eyed as Malachi materialized the various dishes and once complete he finally spoke up.
“Hey, that’s cheating!” he chuckled and walked over. “Now that’s something you are going to have to teach me.”

Malachi gave a full on laugh at his friend's response. "Hahahaha.... Oh...It's Magic, Hyede. And no, I'm not joking. Not in the bad connotations of the word, Mitsuki is a witch. She helped teach me magic while we were in the hyperbolic time chamber," Malachi explained.
"I'm sure I can teach you a little bit, at least."

“I… See… I think I’ll just stick to doing it the conventional way.” Hyede replied eyeing the counter’s new contents. “Besides, as I’ve told others, magic is simply a form of science that has yet to be explained. I’m sure our own scientists will some of with a more conventional way of doing the same.” Hyede mused.

"Heh, you believe what you want. Magic didn't take thousands of years to develop. It's existed for as long as there's been intelligent life. Besides, Magic is capable of defying the laws of science. I'm pretty sure they're in a different league. Not to say that technology won't be able to do the same in time, but whatever. As long as the goal is met the means won't matter too much to me." He then begins to contemplate drinks.
"What about beverages? I don't want to come off with the wrong impression, but I want to be tasteful, too."
