“He heh. Just pace your self. We don’t want to attract attention.” Hyede chuckled upon returning with his dinner and sat down. He eyed Brandon’s plate and shook his head suppressing another chuckle and then started in on his fruit and salad.

"Eh, Im a big eater..." He said, as he picked up a piece of chicken, and started to munch on it. Soon he swallowed it, and looked at Hyede's plate. "Uh... You a Vegetarian or something?" He asked, looking up at Hyede, a bit confused.

The auras lead her to a fast food restaurant in North City. She'd been to the city itself multiple times in search of better food, but now she was hunting for a particular person. It was convenient there was actual food food here, though, since she was starving. She'd stopped at her manor to change into something more casual, since a ballgown was a bit much for a stroll on the streets, and ended up with this.
Moving along the buffet and playing the part of a 'normal' customer, she picked out a couple pieces of fried chicken, some steak fries, seafood salad, diced pineapple, carrots with ranch dressing and a bottle of lime-flavored soda. She paid for her food, then moved down the aisles to sit down in a table with her back to the brunette with tanned skin almost as rich a shade as hers and an aura not quite as darkly powerful as the one sitting across from him.
She couldn't be very inconspicuous though; a girl with her caliber of beauty attracted stares from both genders without even meaning to. In the line to pay, two guys had already slipped her napkins with their names on it so she could contact them later- they hoped for dates- and she'd given them sultry grins before going back to waiting.
Settling into her meal, she could only hope that the attention she drew also drew the powerful male's attention as well. She ate daintily and neatly, not wanting to mess up her pale blue nails or smudge her lip gloss. The next men whose attention she got, though, weren't the ones she wanted. A couple of younger boys approached her table, laughing and smirking. The one who looked like he was in charge of the wily group sat down across from her.
"Hey, babe. Wanna have a little fun with me and my boys?" he inquired with a smirk that told her everything; it wasn't meant to be fun, and he was all too used to getting what he wanted. She looked at him dismissively. "Why are you polluting the air I'm breathing with the greasy stench of your breath?" she replied nonchalantly, not answering his question. She took another sip of soda. The man wasn't amused at all, irritation turning his smirk into a scowl.
"What did you just say?" he growled. Artemis growled back, though he wouldn't hear it. Kaylin put down the bottle and just looked at him. "Are you deaf as well as blind, now? 'Cause last time I checked the mirror, I was way out of your league." She gave him her own cold smile. He lunged for her arm, but she smacked it aside before he even saw her move.
"Go away." she said, going back to her chicken. "You little bitch, I ought to teach you to mind your fu-" he stopped abruptly as a fry hit him in the eye. Kaylin reached down to get another fry to eat for herself when he moved to flip her tray up and into her face, but again, she swatted him away like a fly. "Go. Away. Before I teach you how to mind your fucking manners in front of all your flunkies."
His face flushed with rage, he stood abruptly and left, the other guys following him and giving her venom-laden looks. She went back to eating.

Brandon was busy eating, when he noticed the young lady trying to have her meal, as she was getting bugged by a few younger men. He was quite impressed with the way she handled things, and what intrigued him more, was the kind of aura she gave off. It was that of the same kind he felt in the forest. He wiped his mouth off, as he looked over to Hyede.
"Would you please excuse me for a few Moments Hyede? I would like to congratulate that young woman over there" He said, as he slowly got up from the table, leaving his mountain of meat behind, as he slowly walked over to Kaylin's table.
"Hello there... I saw how you dealt with those... 'Lower life forms'... Quite impressive" He said, making sure the other boys heard the lower life form part, making them furious, but they knew how strong Brandon was, as they just left him alone.

Kaylin glanced up, a small flicker of triumph passing behind her eyes. "The dispute isn't over just yet." she replied, shrugging. "Do not congratulate me when I have a more violent battle yet to fight." she continued, casting a glance over her shoulder. She knew the men would be waiting for her in an alley along the road. When she left the restaurant, they would follow her and attempt to go along with what they had planned in the first place.
"It is not my first time dealing with similar situations." she finished, eating a bite of crab meat. She glanced up again, her piercing magenta gaze finding his. "Kaylin."

"Eh, They are nothing but sheep... Slaughtering them takes the pleasure out of killing....Almost..." He said with a smirk, as he looked over his shoulder to see the other boys leaving. "Im Brandon... My Friend over there is Hyede... Perhaps you heard of us? Of our recent exploit in Hercule City?"
He asked with a charming smile. "Why the heck am I acting like this?" He thought to himself. He would never act so... Full of himself, especially when he was having a decent meal with his friend.

"I don't go for the kill, I go for the pain and the lesson it teaches." she said with a malicious smirk. If someone wanted to cause her harm, she would show them they were messing with the wrong necromancer.
"Non, I have heard of no conquests in Hercule City. I live a bit out of the loop. Désolé," she replied. The dangerous glint in her eyes vanished, leaving only a curious expression fringed with obvious interest of a different sort. It was a normal look of hers, though, fitting so well with her features that it would pass mostly unnoticed, thought to only be a seductive quirk of her cupid's bow lips or a playful glint in the depths of her magenta eyes.

"Really now? Eh, I guess news doesnt travel as fast as I thought it did..." He said, as he grew a bit nervous. To Brandon, all the red lights were flashing at him. He needed to end the conversation, and get back to eating. He thought up of something to say, so he said "Well Kaylin, It was nice meeting you, but I need to get back to my lunch, before it gets cold" as he laughed a bit.
"Good luck with this Mortals.... I mean er, Guys..." He added, as he slowly turned around, and headed back towards his table. "Good call Brandon... " He thought to himself, as he sat himself back down at his table.

As he ate, Hyede could tell pretty much what was going on behind him just from the words spoken. Apparently the woman seated behind him had acquitted herself quite well, prompting Hyede to chuckle and shake his head as the rejected party members passed by his table. Brandon though in true ham fashion decided to make the scene awkward by insisting on talking with the young lady in spite of what she’d done to the previous group who tried to gain her attention. Hyede tried to concentrate on eating his meal as Brandon hammed things up pretty thoroughly and then finally returned. The half dressed powerhouse shook his head again and chuckled.
“Careful, she might break your wrist if you try getting too friendly with her.” the young man joked and slid his chair back. He slid far enough back so as to butt his chair up against the back of the one neighboring the young lady and addressed her.
“If he’s bothering you miss I can take him home.” he stated with a smirk and started to slide his seat back towards the table.

Brandon sighed at Hyede, who seemed to be embarassing him all the more by the minute. "Hyede, stop that..." He said, as he shook his head a bit. "She has the same Aura I felt back in the forest..." He added, as he peered a bit over Hyede's shoulder to get another look at the girl.
"Theres something not right about her.."

Fuck, maybe she shouldn't have made that pain comment. Fuck, he'd sensed her in the forests- even though she should have predicted he would. If she could sense him at her level of power, he would certainly be able to sense her. Irritation flickered over her face when he sat back down at his table and Artemis chuffed in amusement. "Should have thought more wisely, little sister." she growled playfully. Kaylin inwardly rolled her eyes and flashed fang at her counterpart, but came back to earth when the other man who sat across from Brandon bumped the back of his chair into hers. She made a girlish "eep" sound and jumped a little, but chuckled. Eating another steak fry, she listened to Brandon's next words, brows furrowing.
She turned in her seat, quirking a brow at the man and crossing her arms indignantly. "Well, gee, thanks. You're a real charmer, eh?" She huffed, glowering at him. "You call those men low-lives, but you're sitting here talking behind my back as if I'm deaf. I'm starting to believe that the real lesser being here is you." She grabbed her tray and soda bottle, shoving the fizzy drink in her purse and throwing away the remainder of her food in the garbage the restaurant provided. Her anger was bright and just the look on her face kept other men from passing her notes.
She cast a dark look over her shoulder. "Do you really want to know just who I am?" She asked, before promptly exiting. If he did, he'd follow. Hopefully, she'd bruised his pride enough to make him feel the need to pursue.
As she'd predicted, the group of men was waiting in the alley around the corner of the fast food joint. They followed her, but she lead them down another alley. It would both boost their confidence and give her a place where nobody would hear their screams. When another group of men appeared at the end of the alley she was going down, she turned and let a fearful look settle upon her pretty face. The boss grinned and approached her. "Still wanna 'show me' up?" He spat, and she backed up a step.
Thinking himself triumphant, the man lunged and grabbed her shoulder, forcing a kiss upon her lips. That was, however, all she needed. Drawing upon the dark powers of her race, she sapped energy from him and he broke away, panting with a confused look. Her face bore a smirk. "What the hell was that?" he barked, and she just tilted her head before tossing aside her purse and letting two daggers slide out of her palms. It made her bite her tongue in pain, but she lunged, crisscrossing the blades in a quick X-slice over his chest. It was shallow, but it bled.
"She's got knives!" yelled one of the guys, and soon she was darting left and right with a speed much faster than any of them could mimic. It was only a minute before they fled out onto the street, not one without at least a cut or bruise. She re-absorbed the daggers, wincing, before wiping a bit of blood from the corner of her mouth and licking it off the back of her hand. She moved to pick up her purse, taking out a compact to check her appearance. The only real blemish was the cut on her lip, but that would heal in a few minutes. Her eye makeup was still perfect.
Putting it away, she took out her soda and opened it up only to have it explode all over the front of her sweater. "SHIT."

Before Hyede could reply to Brandon’s comment the young woman behind him veritably exploded with a tongue vitriolic enough to melt steel. Hyede just sat there wide eyed as the young woman chewed Brandon out over his shoulder and then left. He didn’t bother to follow her movements, still too surprised by the sudden and loud reaction. Eventually Hyede’s wits returned though, just about the time the young lady was exiting the front door and he couldn’t resist rubbing it in a little.
“Wow. Way to go there. Guess you knew just what to say.” Hyede chuckled and put his salad plate aside. “Well if the evening’s entertainment is done I’m going to go get my entre.” He added and headed for the buffet tables again.

"I dont know about her Hyede... Just being near her sets off all the Alarms..." Brandon said, as he continued on with his dinner, and started to tear through a bone less Rib. Unaware that Kaylin was being attack, He couldnt hear any of the mens screams when they were attacked. But he did see them running out from the alley.
"Oh that cant be good..." Brandon said, as he took a sip of his milk.

Kaylin snarled inwardly. Apparently, she'd need to try a bit harder to get Brandon's attention. In the mean time, she was going back to her manor to change into a dry hoodie... She made a gruff noise, grabbing her bag and tossing the soda down the alley. Leave it for the rats. Disgruntled, she walked across the street and headed back to the forests and home. She'd find a way to get that boy's attention, but it would have to wait.

Filling a new plate with decidedly more meaty selections, Hyede returned to their table and sat back down to start in on his entre. He shook his head once more after munching on a cream cheese wonton and replied. “Everything about everyone sets off alarms with you.” Hyede laughed and continued his meal.
“And those guys probably just got taught the lesson they deserved.” he added, spotting the young man running from beside the building.
