Mesthesi smiled for a moment after winning but then remembered that he had not adhered to the rules and looked over to the master. She said "You are a bad student but not because of what you think."

She took him to a window and pointed out some of the various dojos and the styles they tought, such as Tai chi and Baji Quan. Mesthesi took it all in then asked how it would help him. She looked at him incredulously and then said "Learn the technique and learn it's weakness."

Mesthesi understood now and then listened as the master started to tell him about how the masters of Tai Chi developed a simple relaxing tool into a powerful form to combat others with, originally in friendly competitions and later into full on fights.

Mesthesi listened as she told him at it was faster than Jeet Kune Do and kept the user more centered as a result they had more control over their Ki. They were capable of firing powerful ki blasts at their opponent as though it took nothing and they could move so fast their opponent could barely touch them.

"Now the Baji Quan focus on style and strength and believe in patience. They are slow but powerful fighters." when she said this he thought back to Gouki and shuddered. She waited for him to reply and think about how to defeat their style.

He nodded and was then led to the fighting area once again and was presented to two fighters. They looked at him unemotionally and then the Master said "This will be a contest to see who has learnt the most in their short times learning at their respective schools. Mesthesi and the others all said "OK" in understanding. They then were told they had twenty minutes before hand to warm up. Mesthesi reckoned ten would be sufficient and he then went over to talk to his opponent. He gave him the cold shoulder and so Mesthesi went off to talk to the Baji Quan student who also shrugged him off.

Disgusted at the attitude of the fighters Mesthesi resolved to go that extra mile to beat them. He warmed up and then started to use the fighting shown to him by the master and followed fast attack with fast attack.

The twenty minutes had passed and Mesthesi was due to start fighting the Baji Quan student. They walked into the ring and they both bowed as is customary in almost all martial arts before starting a fight.
